[ it takes him a moment to answer. He was mostly trying to figure out who did the voice belong to, when it hit him. That strange friend of Rinoa's... ]

[This has to be the best time he's had since Selenium. Sora can't help laughing at Squall's guesses. Thanks for humouring him.]

[ There was a slight surprise in Squall's tone. It wasn't the fact that Riku was here that caused it. He actually... had a chance to see him around the time he arrived, or more like recently in any case. He was more surprised that the boy finally approached Sora. Or did Sora approach him? Either way... Sora sounded happy so it meant whatever was eating Riku... Sora probably solved at least somewhat. ]

So the brat finally met with you...

Hey, he's not a brat! [Yes he is. Sometimes. Besides the point.

Sora's still too much in a good mood right now about the entire happenstance.]

I almost can't believe it! After everything that happened at Selenium and him been gone for so long... He finally showed up again. [He sounds a little teary but he's still happy.]

I'm glad... that he finally came back to you, Sora. I know... it's probably rude to wish that kind of thing or whatever, but... if you two are together it's not that bad, right...?

[There's a flicker of appreciation. He knows he shouldn't be so excited about it with Rinoa having gone home so recently. Squall must be sad about that. Sora is too, he adored her so much.

So he tries to rein in his excitement a little.] Yeah... Yeah. I feel like it's been forever since we could be.

Uh, does that mean you saw him before I did?

[Sora's not mad, he knows Riku avoided him and why already.]

[ Squall hasn't mentioned Rinoa, not really to anyone. It... troubled him, and he was definitely feeling saddened... but he didn't want to take away Sora's excitement for his own feelings. Sora... he deserved this, his happiness. He deserved his friends to be right by his side. ]

Most likely... he seemed surprised when I brought up your name. He definitely has a... fiery spirit.

[Sora chuckles at that description. Well, that's one way to put it.]

Yeah...! He's always been like that. Kinda stuck in his own ways, you know? But he's really great, I know you guys will be friends.

[HA HA HA. Maybe. Sora still hasn't told Riku about him and Squall but it has been a hectic few days.]

[ Squall sounds more amused than anything. ]

What?! Hurt me? [Sora sounds a little confused. Mostly because he personally doesn't think Squall has hurt him before but also because Squall sounds amused?]

[ He wasn't about to tell Sora that Riku sort of had a weird.... meltdown in the middle of the street. ]

He doesn't seem to want me near you though. Almost like a guard dog in a way.

[Sora laughs a little awkwardly. Well!!! That doesn't make him any less nervous about telling Riku that he's dating Squall. Welp.]

D-don't worry! He'll warm up to you! I think you guys will get along just great, he just needs some time to adjust. He just got here, anyway.
