[Shortly after talking with Usagi, Sora spares no time pinging Squall. The transmission starts with Sora's face a little too close to the amulet, but hey- There's more important matters at hand than Sora's big nose.]

[ The sudden voice contacting him, sounding so cheerful and bright, it was enough to startle him. ]

[Maybe Sora's right. All he can do is kind of wait out Shinji's problem and only offer support when asked. He certainly is NOT Shinji's dad. Although it reminds him that some other quiet and occasionally surly teenager hadn't contacted him in a while and he should probably check in with him.]

[ Jean, stupidly enough, rarely turns down a fight. It's a matter of ego or something -- definitely some stupid reason like that, anyway, made especially stupid given he's never met Squall in person and really knows not much about his ability to fight! As a result, though, by afternoon he's found himself by the lake, decked out in his scout gear as he stands around and waits for Squall.
There are, thankfully, trees around here. Not as many as he'd like, but there's definitely enough for him to stay competitive! ]

[ When Squall wakes, he will find that his crystal is glowing! His emotion drops for the month of Octha have resonated with Empatheias' giant crystal, and a reaction has been formed.

[ The voice that comes over Squall's amulet is a familiar one as it belongs to the Warrior. However, there's something different about the way in which he speaks to Squall this time, not having that cool and calm demeanor that he typically has when speaking to others. Instead, he sounds almost panicked and as if he's breathing heavy. ]
