Around five is usually when I start jogging.

I don't do too much cardio since I'm trying to bulk up a little again, but I wouldn't mind accompanying you. Unless you'd rather wait until you've finished.

I mean, as long as you're not the type to stop every five minutes because your feet hurt.

I'm a little offended you'd even consider that.

[ There was a short silence until a soft laughter, brief as it may be, was heard. ]

[torsion]

Hey, my focus is on speed and evasion. It's a joke that you'd think I can't handle something like this.

[ Her speed is nearly superhuman, as is her strength -- even without the P30 pumping through her veins. ]

[innermonologues]

I didn't think you'd get so offended.

[torsion]

Yeah, well...

[ You can practically hear her put her hands on her hips and huff. ]

You're right. This might be fun after all.

[torsion]

I'm going to run the city and sneak up behind you and noogie you so fast you'll never see it coming.

[ She'll really have to get the jump on him, though. ]

Aren't you going to need to know what I look like for that? Are you going to noogie every unsuspecting person running around at 5 am?

Maybe I'll do my research and ask around!

I'm a little curious what you might find out.

So, what, in the future just ask you to make everything all easy-peasy and you'll just shrug it off and say it's cool?

[ She transmits an image; brunette with a ponytail, dark blue clothing, zipped up to the neck. Pale. She has that kind of look about her where you might settle on her being in her thirties but then question if that's right, the faint wrinkles under her eyes are only really visible once you're up close and personal. She'd say there's nothing special about her, but her appearance doesn't exactly blur in the background in a crowd whether it's her body shape or facial features. ]

Now you know who to look out for.

Mmm. Somehow this doesn't feel right.

[ Unlike some people ( IM LOOKING AT YOU SEIFER ), Squall doesn't like having a handicap, or cheating his way to victory. He'd rather have an even playing field. So a few minutes later, she gets an image in return. A young face with dark hair and sharp stormy eyes. There was a scar on his forehead starting from the right and going down toward his nose. ]

Now we're even.

[ She's not quite sure how she expected him to look, but she had expected him to be a little younger than her. Late teens, early twenties... he has a pretty deep voice but she wonders how much of that is volume and cadence? Hm. The color of his eyes, though, from a distance like this seems pretty similar to her own -- that kind of icy grey-blue that pierces sharp.

She doesn't stare at the scar but she does take note of it. She didn't think he was joking about his skill, but this confirms that he does manage to get into fights. That kind of sharp, clean scar with that much depth doesn't come from a cat scratch. ]

I didn't know the playing field was lopsided.

[innermonologues]

Now we will have equal opportunity to attack.

[torsion]

So, pass on the sparring we're now in a noogie-tournament? I guess it's my fault, huh.

[innermonologues]

I'm still game for sparring.

[torsion]

Did you... just confirm both...?

[innermonologues]

Perhaps. Perhaps not.

[torsion]

I brought this on myself, didn't I? Well, I guess I'll just run with your punches -- ha.

[ As bad as the joke was, it's even worse that she's laughing at it herself. ]
