[Love?

Sora's face goes bright red and his hand drops from Squall's face. His heart starts to race quickly because he's not sure what to say!

He's thought he's felt this way for a while, but to say it out loud is a little scary!]

... Umm! M-Maybe??

[innermonologues]

I look at you... when you're smiling like this, when you're staring back at me with those big blue eyes... And I don't know.

[ He swallowed hard and turned his head to the side. They've been with each other for a while so it shouldn't be this weird, right? It really shouldn't, but at the same time he feels completely flustered. ]

I don't know how to word this without sounding completely stupid about it...

[oathkeeper]

You don't sound stupid.

[Okay, maybe a little stupid. But it's a cute stupid. Squall has always been so sincere even when fumbling with things or getting embarrassed for it. Sora's always liked that about him.

Meanwhile, Sora's not sure what to say or how to explain what Love is supposed to feel like. He loves his friends, he loves his family... But this is a little different, right? Right. His fingers trail over Squall's arm.]

Maybe it is...? I don't really know. But I know what I feel for you is a lot different than anyone else...

[innermonologues]

[ The sparkling pink snow flakes still seem to twinkle above his head, even after he calms himself a little bit. He felt shivers up his arm. Sora's gentle touches sending his heart into a frenzy of positive emotions. ]

I only don't sound stupid because you didn't hear what I was going to say...

[oathkeeper]

[Sora's cheeks still feel so warm. It takes some courage for Sora to mumble,]

Try saying it again?

[innermonologues]

What I wanted to say, or... that I think I feel... love toward you?

[oathkeeper]

[Yup, it still makes him feel light headed the second time Squall says it.]

I ... [He smiles, a little goofy and awkwardly. He keeps his fingers on Squall's arm.]

I think I love you too.

[Who knows if they're doing this right but it feels good...]

[innermonologues]

You... do?

[ Squall swallowed hard. His face felt like it was on fire, and nothing could put it out. There was a flicker of excitement in his stormy eyes]

Seriously?

[ Squall strokes his cheek softly. ]

[oathkeeper]

[He's never seen Squall's face like this before... Sora feels a little breathless.]

Is it hard to believe or something?

[Sora laughs softly. He tilts his head into Squall's hand.]

... I told you before, I like every part of you. Even the broken things. When you're happy I'm happy? That's got to be love, right?

[innermonologues]

When I'm with you... I feel like I'm less broken as corny as that sounds... so it has to be love.

[ He leans in and presses their foreheads together. ]

[oathkeeper]

[He finally moves his hands from Squall's arms to warp his arms gently around Squall's neck. His face still feels warm but he always gets such comfort when Squall comes close. He closes his eyes and kisses Squall again. There's a slight spark when their lips touch almost like the static they'd played with earlier.

The lights are off but they flicker on at that moment shining almost too brightly.]

[innermonologues]

[ One could really say sparks were flying with that kind of reaction. Not that Squall could really judge because he literally felt the sparks, enough to make him shiver and press into the kiss more.

If he could stay in this moment forever, he wouldn't mind.]

[oathkeeper]

[The lights continue to flicker brighter and occasionally some red energy swirls around them and until the kiss ends. Sora looks up at Squall breathlessly, his heart thumping like it's about to pop.

And his eyes just tear up. He starts to cry a little but he's still smiling and reaches up to brush them away quickly with his sleeve.

He's just a bit overwhelmed.]

[innermonologues]

[ Squall snorts softly, leaning down again to kiss his forehead. ]

See? I told you I make you cry all the time...

[oathkeeper]

[Sora lets out a puff of laughter and punches Squall's arm.]

Shut up, no you don't.

[innermonologues]

[ That punch sends Squall into a fit of his own soft laughter. He lets himself finally fall back onto the bed and tugs Sora on top of him. ]

[oathkeeper]

Opph-! [He pretends to pout but snuggles in close anyway.]

Let's go back to sleep now...

[innermonologues]

If I can get to sleep, maybe...

[ squall wraps his arms around Sora, keeping a close hold on him. ]
