I lost two important people to me when I was younger... and after coming here I have learned that you should cherish all of your relationships no matter what. Sora will understand if I'm here today, and he'll probably want to smother you with hugs as well.

[ Coming to shake his head slowly, the Warrior then allows his head to bow some. ]

I don't need hugs.

It can't hurt to have them either though, right?

[ Even though his voice is soft, ]

I suppose not.

I won't force him upon you though... but I also won't leave you right now.

[forthelight]

[ While he won't speak his thoughts, at some point, Squall will leave and the Warrior will have this house all to himself and while he typically is fine with being on his own... to be without one he had shared gentle touches of affection with in the form of a kiss, a hug, or even a smile... he's not so sure what to do or how it will feel with that loss here now. ]

I'm sure no one would mind if you wanted to come stay at my place for a while... if you wanted to.

[forthelight]

[ The Warrior allows himself to slowly blink at the offer before his gaze returns to that of his shield. ]

Thank you. But it's fine.

[innermonologues]

I won't force you... but maybe think on it...?

[forthelight]

[ Rather than say anything, the Warrior slowly nods once before he goes back to looking at his shield, head bowed, snow still around them. ]

[ While Warrior focuses on the shield in his arms, Squall lets himself droop into his back again, hugging him close. ]

It was not my intention to cause you worry.

Don't feel bad about it...

[ Squall just continues hugging WoL loosely. ]

We're friends. Brothers in arms. We got each other's backs. That's the way I see it anyway.

[forthelight]

[ Friends... brothers? To think he could have such a thing like that here... ]

I don't wish to be alone.

Then I guess you're stuck with me...

[forthelight]

[ As before, the Warrior can only nod gently, unable to find anything else to say aside from that. ]

[ Squall keeps a strong hold around Warrior, keeping him close to his own chest. ]

Do you have any extra blankets lying around...?

[forthelight]

Perhaps in the linen closet.

[ He's not entirely sure as he can't seem to recall such a simple thing as that in this very moment. ]

[ Squall nods his head and after giving him a brief squeeze, he gets up and begins wandering off to find some sort of blanket. He ends up dragging the one off his bed and pulling it over to the couch so he could completely cover Warrior in the thing. ]

[forthelight]

[ The Warrior still holds tight to his shield, eyes once more dropping their gaze to the Wild Rose carved on the inside and it has his chest tighten some, a wisp of snow to drift by and he finds himself feeling cold again as the tips of his fingers come to gently brush over the words. ]

[ Squall makes sure to tuck the blanket in around him and then wraps his arms around him once more, letting his face bury into his shoulder. ]

[forthelight]

I am foolish to think that there is anything for me outside of my duty.

[ He mutters the words softly, allowing his eyes to fall shut and his head to bow some. ]

You aren't foolish.

[ Squall's arms squeeze him a little tighter, trying to do something... anything to comfort Warrior. ]
