[ Is that supposed to stop Squall? Because the red look on Sora's face just makes Squall want to say more things. It's a good look on him, all red and flustered. ]

Are you forgetting how strong you are?

[ Squall moved a hand gently to push more hair out of Sora's face, smiling that soft smile of his. So beautiful... ]

And you're a lot more beautiful I think...Just look at these eyes. So bright and full of life. A smile that could melt an entire room...

[NO. THIS ISN'T! FAIR!

Sora huffs and pushes Squall back enough that he lays on his back. Sora then rolls over to roll on top of him, straddling and sitting on his hips and so he can look down at Squall.]

I'm only... As strong as the people around me are, you know. [Huff huff.] But compared to you I've always been pretty plain. I'm just Sora. You don't gotta say things like that.

[He just wants to be Sora.]

[ Squall stares up at Sora with a faint redness starting to form on his own face. He swallows a bit nervously, but Sora definitely has his attention now if he didn't have it before. He's not sure if he quite gets Sora's denial, but the look on his face.... actually maybe he could understand a little. Everyone back home made a big deal about Squall, but he never saw anything important about himself.]

I think... just Sora is my favorite Sora, if I'm being honest. Just Sora's the one who pulled me into his life after all.

[His expression softens and Sora drops his forehead down to Squall's shoulder. He shuts his eyes for a moment and notices the small prickling pain in his earlobe again. He can feel Squall's breathing like this too and for a moment he feels...]

Thanks, Squall.

[He doesn't mind the compliments but he doesn't want to be better than anyone else. He's just Sora... He knows he has so many people relying on him to save the Universe... But he's just... Sora.

So he's happy to hear that from Squall. Someone he loves so much. ~~being called handsome was a bonus though~~]

[ Squall moved a hand up to Sora's hair now that he was leaning against him, working his fingers through his hair, even letting his nails lightly scratch against his scalp. He couldn't stop that small smile forming on his lips with Sora so close. He could probably even hear his heart beating quickly.]

Please don't ever think... you have to be anything but yourself with me, okay? Happy, sad, mad, or whatever... as long as you're just you, that's what makes my heart beat this fast.

Squall... You're great, did you know that?

[Sora feels a new blush flush across his cheeks as he turns his head to bury into Squall's shoulder to hide there. He can feel his heart beating and in turn, he can feel Squall's heart as well and the rhythm of them being close like this makes him feel content and warm. He never wants it to end.

How he got so lucky to have Squall's attention and his understanding, he'll never quite know. Sora's puppylove crush had been so strong back then and somehow they ended up like this.]

I'm happy...

[ A-ah... Hearing that from Sora when he buries himself into his shoulder just makes him even more embarrassed. Did he say something special? He was just... trying to say what was on his mind and then Sora called him great.

The room got a little chilly, so Squall wrapped his arms a little tighter around Sora. Around the ceiling, little pink snowflakes seemed to dance around. ]

Good... I want to make you happy.

[ He wants to be the kind of person Sora could seek out for anything. ]

[There is this funny trade-off when Squall is happy enough to make pink snow. It gets colder and Sora dislikes the way the fresh coolness sweeps over him but Squall's body itself is warm and inviting. As long as he can stay pressed close to Squall like this that gentle coolness isn't so bad. Pleasant, actually. It makes Sora shiver slightly, a tiny electric feeling fluttering down his spine.]

I know I can't forget about the things I have to do back home... But sometimes, when we're like this? I feel like I'm the happiest. I wonder if it's okay for me to be just Sora for as long as I can.

[ Squall continued working his fingers through Sora's hair softly, even tugging him closer just to give him a little more warmth. He'd feel guilty if he realized how much the coldness bothered Sora. It's not really like he intended for his emotions to spark in frosts... ]

I'll make you a deal. If I can stay here with you... and be just Squall, then you can be just Sora.

[ He leaned up to kiss Sora's forehead softly. ]

[It's okay, Squall. Sora accepted long ago that he fell in love with an ice prince. He'll endure the happy snowflakes.

Sora smiles softly at the kiss and then looks up at Squall with a bit of curiosity.]

Deal. But are you ever worried about going home, Squall? Is there things waiting for you?

I'm always worried about going home...

[ His fingers were combing through Sora's hair more now, as he sort of got lost in thought for a moment. ]

Everyone is relying on me to help stop this stupid war starting up... Everything we do to try and help sort of blows up in our faces, it's... not going to be a fun time.

[Sora blinks at Squall and nods a bit. Wow, same hat.]

Yeah... I know how that feels. You're smart and strong though, I bet that's why everyone is relying on you.

[He believes in Squall!]

I think everyone just sees a little too much in me.

[ Squall snorts softly, but how could he be bothered when Sora's the one saying it. Anytime Sora compliments him with those big sparkling eyes, he couldn't help but just cave a little more. ]

But after meeting you... I do want to try harder.

[That makes Sora grin.]

If you end up turning out anything like Leon, I know you were made to be a leader, Squall. It's hard when people see you that way but I think you'll be just fine.

[He leans up to nuzzle his nose against Squall's cheek.]

You've always been good at just being you, too. On top of all that.

Are you sure you aren’t just saying that because you think guys who take charge are hot?

[ Squall gives Sora a teasing look as he shifts his head so he could muzzle him right back. If he wanted to be like Leon he would have a long way to go. Have you seen the muscles on that guy? Terra was closer to being Leon than Squall was. Heck, Riku was too. ]

W-what?!

[That has Sora's cheeks flaring up with a blush and he suddenly wants to hide his face a little.]

That's not it!!

[Does Squall want to start working out more?]

[ Squall gives him a tiny grin and leaned in to kiss the tip of his nose. ]

You sure about that...?

[ He might just do that, if it means getting more of Sora's attention. ]

[Not gonna lie, Sora would watch Squall at the gym. No questions asked there.

His fingers move up Squall's arm to test his bicep out with a tiny squeeze.]

You're already ... [Sora is dying inside.] You're already hot.

[ It was so embarrassing to hear that, but also so rewarding as well. He tensed up his arm a little to give Sora something to squeeze. He wasn't built like a tank like some people, but he definitely had some arm strength. He had to to be able to handle the pushback of the gunblade. ]

When that comes from you... I think I like it.

[He squeezes and touches Squall's muscle with a tiny happy smile before he chews on his lip. Honestly, Squall might not be as mega buff as some other people they know but he likes Squall's body. He's lean, strong and sharp. Like he's been carved from smooth ice.]

I guess it is a plus because it's you.

[ Carved from smooth ice... that's a compliment Squall could get behind. He gives another flex to his with a faint look of amusement. Seeing Sora look so flustered and yet so into it all just made Squall want to... show off more. How embarrassing. ]

Ugh...

[ He tries to sound huffy, but the grin forming on his lips gives him away right away. ]

Heh.

[They always go back and forth at embarrassing each other like this, don't they?

Sora decides he feels a little bolder and he sits up enough that he can trail his fingers at the bottom hem of Squall's shirt and then he starts to pull it up like he wants Squall to take it off. If they're inspecting Squall's muscles... Right?]

[ With a darker shade of red forming on Squall’s cheeks, he took the hint or what he thought was a hint and sat up just a little, not enough to tip Sora over but enough to be able to move. He started pulling his shirt up until he pulled it off over his head, tossing it off to the side. Lying back down his hands moved to rest on Sora’s waist. He had light scars here and there from training and fights he’s been in, but nothing too exciting and noticeable. ]

Your hands feel nice...

[He shyly looks over Squall's chest, a new blush blooming over his cheeks. Squall really is something else. He's enamoured with him, the shape of his chest and all. Sora feels a bubble of nervousness in his stomach but curiosity too as he trails his fingers over Squall's skin. Even the little scars he traces with his fingers.]

You're not ticklish?

[ Squall shivers a little when his fingers trail over his bare skin. While he wasn't really the ticklish type, he felt extremely fluttery feeling Sora's light touches all over his chest. His heart started speeding up again, nervousness building up, but he tries to push that away as far as he could, because he really didn't want Sora to stop. ]

Not... exactly, no.
