Yeah... it was a strange thing to deal with. Honestly it's still kind of strange, but I think we're starting to find our flow or whatever. Neither of us wanted to make Sora choose. Sora... he's the kind of person who loves and he loves big... and telling him he can't love someone... seems like the cruelest thing of all.

Riku's... a good kid though. I was blinded but jealousy before, but I'm starting to... see him for him and he's... good.

[ Squall nods his head with a small smile. Little pink flakes of snow start to fall around them. ]
It's good... that verens brought you all together again. You and your friends... Riku. I'm glad. We all have our weird hangups but... having someone you care about close kind of makes those feelings seem dumb.
[At first, Terra turns his hand over when he notices pink snow starting to fall, trying to catch a few in his palm to see. Ah. Then he reaches out to plop his hand on top of Squall's head and ruffle it for a second.]
I'm glad we all have another chance. There's still some people I don't know well. People I need to meet. The ones Sora and Riku know. [Tilting his head, he frowns curiously at Squall.] Do you... have anyone like that here? Is Auron from your world, too?
I'm sorry. [It sounds genuine rather than simply a platitude. His hand drops to Squall's shoulder to squeeze it reassuringly then pulls away.] I hope one day this place will bring you other people from your world. [He can't imagine what he'd do if he lost Aqua and Ven, Riku, the others, so easily.] The ones you want.
Your friends? I think they would like it here. Especially if they are able to spend time with you. For now, though, I guess you're stuck with us.
Now who's being hard on themselves? [Squall.] We're not bad. Especially Sora.
But I want you to have your friends like I have mine. Friends are important in making your heart strong. They're there when you need them the most. And, sometimes, they need you, too.
Squall. I don't believe that. [Well, sure, maybe Squall checked out of the whole social thing, but... still.] Even if you aren't the same person you were then, even if you've made mistakes, if they're your friends, they would miss you. That's why they're friends.
They see the best in you even if you can't see the best in yourself.
[ But he was just their leader in missions... would they really have considered him a friend? Man... who knew putting up a wall to keep people out was such a bad thing in the end? ]
Better. [Squall is getting there. Terra gets the whole thinking bad of yourself and your mistake, your shortcomings. He does that, too. He still hasn't been able to jump that fence quite like Riku may have.] Even if your friends don't come here...
