[Okay, that is a valid concern. It's also telling that even long after Leon left home that it still really bothers Squall.

And just that tiny crack in his voice gets to Auron. But. He knows his son needs reassurance and confidence right now.]

Are you kidding me? You don't have enough belts to be Leon. Plus, I know how much he loves you as you. Not because you look like someone else, but because of you. He will not forget you.

But if he forgets about me... it'll be just like when I first got here... and he called me Leon for months. If he forgets about everything...

We'll be here for him when he gets back. Because you know him. As soon as he gets back, he'll feel personally responsible and guilty for leaving.
