[Sora heads out there and plops himself down. He's got a big cozy sweater on today since the Spring weather still hasn't been that kind.]

[ Squall left the chocobo back at Warriors to go play with all the kittens and made his way to the edge. It took longer than usual, but it definitely wasn't because he got lost. ( it was. )

He spotted Sora and quietly sat down beside him, wearing a t-shirt but nothing to cover his arms, hair pulled back into a small bun. ]

[Squall... This is literally the same spot they always meet up at, you dork.

Sora smiles and then ... Stares.............]

Your hair's getting really long, Squall.

[ Look. Sometimes it's hard to remember, okay?

Squall tilts his head a little. ]

Ah... I guess it is, huh. I haven't really... decided if I should cut it or not.

[Sora observes carefully. To be honest, he likes it!]

It looks good tied back like that.

[ Squall tilted his head a little more, reaching back to rub his neck. ]

Then maybe I'll keep it... I only cut it because school, not that many followed protocol.

I like it. Guess you don't gotta worry about protocol here, huh?

[He smiles warmly.] Do you like it?

I suppose I'm alright with it? I don't really have a preference for this kind of stuff. Never have...

[He sways back and forth a bit. He looks a bit nervous?]

[Sora gives a bit of a shrug. But then he smiles again.]

Will you go to the Flower Festival with me?

[He's asking you out to prom properly!!]

[ . . . Here Squall had so many other thoughts that Sora might be afraid to tell him. Thoughts he was afraid to hear, so when Sora came out and said this he was... rather relieved. ]

...That's... what you wanted to ask me?

[He chuckles a bit and nudges Squall's shoulder.]

Yeah?? What did you think I was gonna say?

I... it's not important. I'll go with you... if you want me to.

[ he doesn't want to ruin the moment by saying something stupid like " Are you sure you don't want to go with Riku?" or something. ]

As long as weird animal printed suits aren't involved.

[Good, because Sora would have gotten reeeaalllyyy maaaaad.

He scoots closer and leans up to brush his lips against Squall's cheek.]

[ He says softly with a faint smile. He'd wear a dumb outfit regardless to how much he complains about it.

Before Sora could pull away, Squall turned his head to steal a kiss. ]

[That's why he likes you, Squall!!

Sora feels his heart flutter and his fingers grasp onto Squall's sleeve to keep him there for a longer kiss. He wants a bit more than usual, it seems.]

You can wear what you like. Usagi and me are gonna wear matching Japanese yukata for when we crown the new flower king and queen together.

You two do like to match a lot. It's kinda cute... ah but what's a yukata?

Ummmm, it's a type of festival clothes people from her world wear. They're colourful and sometimes have big bows on the back.

[So obviously it was Usagi who roped Sora into wearing these.]

...Yeah I can see you wearing a giant bow. It's pretty cute to picture.

[ he flashes him a faint smile, reaching out to comb his fingers through Sora's hair. ]

[Sora ducks his head down a little.]

[ he snorted softly. Since Sora was ducking his head, Squall took this moment to rest his chin on top of his head. Ultimate comfort. ]

Are these... yukatas annoying?

[He ends up chuckling and letting Squall use him as a headrest.]
