[Details, Details. It's all the same mumbo jumbo---well not really but Vanitas sorta of brushed it off as such before.]

[He vaguely remember Squall living there maybe? He usually has a flood hidden in Sora's shadow. It reports all kinds of things~]

Yes and no. I've kind of been bumming around this month.

Sounds like you need to get your life in order more than worrying about darkness.

[Pretty boy's life sounds like a roller coaster. How hard did Ventus punch you? Did he knock something loose?]

You say that as if I've ever had it in order to begin with.

[ His voice was flat, but he knew that Vanitas was right. The way he'd been acting all month was completely ridiculous and he knew he made not only Sora and himself feel ten times worse. ]

Fair...

[Vanitas is the embodiment of negativity but Squall is here trying to give him a run for his money.]

I don't know your life and I don't really care too. Pick a place otherwise I'm going to make you come find me.

[He's not wasting time tracking Squall down]

We can meet at Sora's and make it easier. I'll start heading there now.

Hurry up.

[Vanitas is just going to leave it at that. He can open a corridor to Sora's place to get there practically instantly but he's going to let Squall wait for a bit regardless. It's not urgent he meets up with Sora's boyfriend after all.

But after a good half hour, he'll stroll up to the house casually.]

[ Hopefully Vanitas was a lot more observant than most, because as soon as Squall spots him strolling up to the house, he jumps off the roof, landing in front of him.

...he likes high places. ]

[He's...like a cat.

Vanitas raises a brow as he lands, hands resting at his side in loosely held fists]

I'm surprised you didn't fall.

Do I come off as that clumsy of a guy to you?

[ Squall gives him a bit of a huff as his arms immediately fold up. ]

The only things I've seen you do is win stuff animals at festival games and finger-paint lanterns.

[He raises a brow at him.]

[ . . . Okay, that was fair, but that wasn't all he was..!]

That just means there's more to surprise you with then.

[His looks Squall up and down, frowning a bit more]

But I'll admit, I've never 'helped' anyone so I don't really know where to start...

[Admittedly he could just use this as an excuse to beat up Squall but given this guy isn't overly friendly or bouncing off the walls he doesn't have much of an desire to just beat him up.

If anything this whole thing is sort of awkward.]

[ He rubs the back of his neck as he glances off to the side. ]

I'm just... tired of not being able to help when darkness and other things like that happen.

Give me examples. If it's the darkness inside Sora, you're a little short on luck.

[He eyes Squall a bit. If anything, Vanitas never wants to get rid of the darkness in Sora but he gets the feeling Squall wouldn't either. More of wanting to contain it or do some damage control maybe?]

I don't... want to change anything about anyone, that's not what this is about it's just...

[ he sighs a bit, his hand slowly trailing up to start fidgeting with the amulet he kept on his ear as an earring, just turning it back and forth. It was a habit he'd developed since coming here. ]

I just... wasn't able to help Sora when he became that... shadow creature... and when Aqua lost it, I knew I couldn't do anything for her or the others either. Not to mention, I completely let the fog take over me... I don't have this "magical power of light" like everyone else does. I'm just a military kid with a Gunblade.

[He's quiet for a moment. He gets that Squall wants to help but those situations are very particular.]

Sounds like you're in need of someone to give you that magical power of light than lessons in darkness... You have light and darkness inside you but darkness is all I am.

[A shadow seems to ooze from him before glowing-red eyes glare out from it. Soon, a Flood forms, twitching and scratching at the ground with it's claws like it wants to charge at Squall]

Darkness is just about control and not letting it consume you. That's why Sora and Aqua lost it because they're weak and can handle it when the darkness in their hearts become too much.

[He clicks his tongue a bit.]

[ What the hell-- Squall's eyes squint a little as he stares at the tiny flood. It wasn't that he was afraid of it, it was just a strange creature... ]

Well... Terra was trying to help me with that, but it mostly just turned into strength training.

[ He frowned thoughtfully, his eyes never leaving that little flood. ]

How are you even supposed to "handle" either side anyway.
