[ Squall shivered a little when he felt Sora's hands against his skin, followed by a soft little noise.

Shit...! That was embarrassing... he just clears his throat instead.]

How would you... um put those feelings? The ones you have?

[Sorry, he's momentarily getting distracted now. He does it again just to see what happens, fingers touching over Squall's side.]

Umm...

[ It was a weird feeling. He didn't quite feel ticklish from his light touch, but it did feel nice...? It was embarrassing though, because he was usually so good at hiding everything, it was embarrassing how easily that soft sound escaped. ]

Ah...

[Sora lets out a puff of soft laughter, somewhat pleased with himself to be able to make Squall react like that. It's a new feeling and makes him feel a little giddy, setting off some gold sparkles into the air.

He leans up to nuzzle his nose against Squall's.] I was a little worried when I woke up that you'd be gone.

[ Sora how dare you??? Squall’s only starting to be more used to physical affection, probably because of Sora in the first place. He was always hugging him and holding his hands and everything else like that, but feeling Sora closer like that... he wouldn’t complain.

He snorted softly, nuzzling him right back. ]

You don’t have to worry much about that anymore... staying that far away from you for too long.... it makes me feel on edge.

[oathkeeper]

You mean you get really grumpy.

[He smiles sleepily. And don't worry, Squall. He wants to be closer too so...!! If Squall doesn't reject the touch he'll keep on doing it. Fingers scratch gently at Squall's skin, in slow lazy patterns.]

What doesn't make me "really grumpy" anyway?

[ Squall relaxes completely under Sora's gentle touches. It was weird, because Sora always made him feel comfortable, but right now he just felt... that ten times more somehow? ]

If... you do choose to talk to him... because I know you will... will you do me a favor... and call for my attention if you start to feel uncomfortable...? Any kind of discomfort. Even if it's just a small feeling...

[Calling Squall out--

Squall's concern is sweet in his quiet way of his so Sora nods. Sora's pretty much already set his mind to wanting to talk to Vanitas so...]

I will, I promise. And I'll be careful too.

[ he let out a soft huff at the cats comment, but you know it's mostly because it's 100% true.

That's all I ask.

[ Squall cupped Sora's cheek so he could lean in a little better and kiss him softly. It was a lot easier to show affection toward him when it was behind closed doors.]

[He smiles into the kiss because he knows he got Squall there. It's just too easy sometimes.

Sora shivers lightly and pulls closer to Squall. A warmth blooms over his cheeks. The affection really makes the last remnants of his bad dream fade away.]

I see a sparkle... I guess that means you're feeling better?

[ His tone is teasing, but the look on his face could only be known as relieved. ]

[oathkeeper]

[Sora nods sleepily.] Hmmhm, sorry for waking you up.

[At least Squall's sleeping habits seem to be a little better these days but he does feel bad for waking him.]

Mmm, don't be. I probably needed to wake up at some point.

[ He let out a tiny yawn and moved to tug Sora closer to his chest. ]

[It's so rare to see Squall actually enjoying sleep!! For that, Sora nuzzles close to him, lips pressing a quick kiss to his neck before feeling drowsy.]

Nah, sleep in with me.

[innermonologues]

[ Squall made a tiny sound to the kiss. He hated to admit it, but being kissed, being held, just being around Sora in general made his heart flutter in the stupidest of ways. ]

Mmm... I think that van be arranged.

[oathkeeper]

[Squall should tell Sora these things out loud, Sora would eat it all up.]

Can you manage to stay in bed for that long? [A sleepy laugh.]

[innermonologues]

[ Squall snorted softly at that and leaned down a bit to kiss the top of his head. ]

I don't have a choice, you've left me completely powerless.

[oathkeeper]

[Sora squirms.]

That makes me want to challenge you to staying in bed for a whole day.

I feel like that might be a harder challenge on you. Seeing as how you're always out and about.

[ He reached down to cup Sora's cheek with a warm smile on his face. ]

You have so much energy, something I really do wonder if you power this island all on your own. It must be a constant battle between your positivity and my negativity, huh?

[oathkeeper]

Yup. I'm secretly an arehei. Don't tell anyone.

[Sora looks up at Squall and leans his head into the touch. He can't help but chuckle.]

Negative? You say while you're smiling at me... [Which he likes.] I dunno, Squall. You're a lot less grumpy these days. I still remember when I first met you, making ice all over the place. That hasn't happened for a while.

[innermonologues]

[ Squall's cheeks turned a faint shade of pink. he turned his head to the side. ]

You melted down the icy wall of hatred, so... I guess I have you to thank that I'm not getting frostbite anymore.

[oathkeeper]

[His smile gets bigger. He nuzzles his nose gently against Squall's cheek.]

I'm pretty proud of you, did you know that?

[innermonologues]

Proud...? Why would you be proud of me?

[oathkeeper]

Because you have changed a lot since you first came here. You're really not as negative as you think you are, dummy. You've got friends that care about you and you care about them. You don't act like you're all alone.

Still a little bad at saying what you mean sometimes, but it's gotten a lot better... [He gives a teasing smile.]

[innermonologues]

Maybe I just don't want to give you the satisfaction of hearing some of those things. Because I know you'll get that grin on your face and you'll start to vibrate and sparkle.

[ He let out a tiny huff, but turned to look at Sora again. ]

But with that being said... I do... like it when you you show your excitement... even over the littlest of things. It's cute...
